Wow! Really? Has it been that long?!?
Oooops! Ok, so it wasn't supposed to be this long in between posts - I guess that's what happens when the days all run together before you know it! In case anyone is wondering, 13 is the magic number. Not the lucky one - the magic one. Apparently 13 is the number of years to be married when everything starts to get old and give up! In the last 6 months we've spent time without an airconditioner, a heater, and a washer. There are currently only 4 appliances in the house that are not new. And soon to be 2. A new washer and dryer are on my list, but first the tax return must come in. After that, it's time to save for a refridgerator and a hot water heater because at this point it's only a matter of time..... Blogging is like keeping a journal - I don't do it everyday and then when I do there's so much to say that I just get frustrated and cut it short. I suppose that's why I should just do it every day and be done with it. By the way - still looking for that clever way to use "Bloggins", I just haven't decided what it will be yet! ;-)

Just keep trying!!
Uh-huh, so apparently these everyday things don't work so well for me, but a couple of times a week is better than nothing right?!? So today's thoughts come from a project I am working on for Church. We are going to play family feud on Tuesday night and it's my job to put together the game. So, we came up with questions from the internet (gospel and mommy related) and some of them already had answers but some of them did not. So I asked my wonderful cousin to help me out and survey her friends. I sent her an email with the questions and an explanation of what was up so that all she had to do was forward it to her friends. After just a few hours, I had 8 sets of answers and a touched spirit. How wonderful is it that these ladies who have never met me are so willing to stop and take a couple of minutes to help me out?!? It makes you feel good to know that the Church is always there no matter where you go and that the people are willing to help each other out. Yes, maybe it's a little silly because it is such a small thing, but I suppose it's just the principle. Either way, it's been fun and very interesting to see what kinds of answers come back!!

Been a busy one!
So far this year we have successfully redecorated the living room, and I have to say I love it! It feels really good to have a room of the house that I absolutely love, and so now, the rest of the house must follow. It has not been good for my attempt at daily blogging, but I'll have to keep working on that. It's Sunday and so there's not a lot going on - we are all just chilling out after church, though we need to be straightening up around here and getting ready to go back to work and school tomorrow. None of us are happy about it, but that's just life I suppose. And in the end - we would all be sick of each other sooner or later if we all just sat around here all the time anyway. Besides, getting out gives us something to talk about in the evenings!!
I saw something interesting at Church today - I was watching as Dakota and Bishop Singleton (no longer the Bishop, but always will be in this house!) were passing sacrament and were gracefully and reverently communicating with each other about who was going to pass to which row in the middle and who would move on to the next. It was fascinating to me, and took me back to thoughts of when we moved here and Spencer was our home teacher. He was single, we were not active in Church and Dakota and Noah were little. Spencer would come to do his home teaching and insist that Steve and I go on a date every now and then. He would come over and watch the boys and hang out and have fun. We would come home and they had all had a blast sword fighting (plastic swords) and watching movies. My how things change....now Dakota is 13 and they are passing sacrament together and Spencer has a beautiful wife and baby boy of his own. Now it's our turn to sword fight and watch movies at their house.....
